Pushing Weight with Coach K
As the last few minutes ticked off the clock in Cal's 45-10 rout of Texas A&M in the 2006 Holiday Bowl, the returning Bear players could only look forward to the possibilities of 2007. The season ends that suddenly in college football. After a few weeks off for the winter break, players must now take off the helmets, lay-down the shoulder pads, and start pushing weight.
For the fourth straight year, Cal was able to benefit from heading to a Bowl Game - and not just from the obvious post-season festivities that go along with winning. While the program certainly has received a considerable lift by being victorious in three of their four consecutive bowl appearances, Cal was also able to hold a post-season mini-camp for their younger players.
