Grady stumbles as EGR falls

East Grand Rapids (Mich.) point guard Kelvin Grady got off to an exceptional start to his senior campaign this winter. The 5-10, 180-pound Michigan-bound athlete was finally healthy and started to show just how developed his game was becoming. While Monday night's performance in the Jam at the Van event in Grand Rapids did not diminish his progress thus far, it did show there is more work to be done.

Grady and his EGR teammates, ranked No. 1 in Class B in Michigan, lost their first game of the season 51-50 in overtime to Cedar Springs and sensational shooting guard Austin Thornton at Van Andel Arena Monday. The performance was neither memorable nor forgettable for Grady, who finished the night with just four points but did dish out 10 assists.
