Apples To Apples

The glaring omission that close observers of the University of Washington men's basketball program point out this week and in past weeks is that super freshman Spencer Hawes was unable to play in the first game against cross-state rival Washington State University - resulting in the 75-47 loss to Wazzu. All the fingers do not point in that direction, but enough of them continue to do so that it will be hard to ignore tracking the play of Washington's star player on Wednesday evening in Seattle when the 10th-ranked Cougars meet the unranked Huskies in a hoops Apple Cup rematch.
