Robinson, KU roll
No. 8-ranked Kansas (22-4, 9-2) stormed into the Coors Event Center Wednesday night to battle the Colorado Buffalos (6-15, 2-9) and ran away with a 75-46 drubbing in Boulder, Colo. One of the Big 12's most one-sided match ups held up to its pre-game billing, a blowout, as Russell Robinson scored 14-points to lead the Jayhawks to their second straight road victory. It was a workman like effort for Bill Self's squad as they now prepare to return home.
Five seconds in, Julian Wright's no-look lay up opened the floodgates to yet another Kansas blowout over conference foe Colorado.
KU's victory Wednesday notched their 36th win in 37 tries over the Buffalos, and swept the season series for the 16th time in the past 17 seasons.
After combining for 54-points in a win over Missouri, sophomore's Brandon Rush and Wright were quiet for the most part against the Buffs, scoring seven and eight points respectively. Rush struggled from the field, while Wright seemed to be looking for the pass rather than the score, dishing out four assists while pulling down seven rebounds.
Wright may have had the highlight of the evening, however, when he finished a breakaway with a high-flying dunk for just past the free throw line.
