State's top LB taking the patient approach

Gadsden (Ala.) City LB Jerrell Harris plans on being patient throughout the recruitment process. He doesn't expect to make a decision in haste.

He's going to take it all in. Take advantage of the rare opportunity he has. Go places he's never been. Do things he's never done.

"I'm going to ride it out," to put it in his own words.

And who can blame him? Not many have the chance to be as heavily recruited as he'll be over the next 11 months.

Harris was one of only three juniors selected to the 6A first-team All-State defensive squad. He tallied 125 tackles in 11 games in 2006. He's also one of the few prospects in the state of Alabama already closing in on double-digit offers.
