Offers pouring in for Futch
After a stellar showing at the Miami NIKE Combine on Super Bowl Sunday, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna linebacker Jordan Futch has seen his stock rise. Multiple programs have stepped forward with scholarship offers and more are on the way.
"I've had a couple of schools offer," he said. "Auburn just offered me. South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia and Wisconsin have offered. N.C. State, Boston College, Colorado and Miami (Fla.) all should be on the way."
At the NIKE Combine, the 6-foot-3, 202-pounder put up some impressive numbers, clocking a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, a 4.16 in the shuttle, a 34-inch vertical leap and 13 reps on the bench press.
With plenty of early attention, Futch has yet to narrow his list. He does, however, have five programs that are at the top for the moment.
"Right now, I'm really open," he said. "If I had to make a top five, it would be Miami, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida State and Auburn."
Futch added that he could make an early decision, but isn't close to one at the present time.
