Kamp ends career on top

It was only fitting for Harper Kamp. Just like every varsity season ended during his outstanding prep career, the Mountain View (Ariz.) power forward stood on top. Kamp scored 21 points and pulled down his customary 10 rebounds as Mountain View became just the second school in nearly 50 years to win three consecutive Arizona State Basketball Championships.

To win his final state championship, Kamp and the Toros had to beat a familiar foe in Phoenix (Ariz.) St. Mary's, led by McDonald's All-American honoree Jerryd Bayless. Mountain View beat the Knights in the 2005 State Championship - Kamp's first - and also knocked them off three times over the course of the past two seasons, including earlier this year by 19 points.
