Patterson will take it down to the wire

As the highest rated prospect in the nation not yet committed to playing for a college program, you can expect your time to be filled fielding phone calls from both coaches and reporters alike. Such is the life of five-star Huntington (W.V.) power forward Patrick Patterson - the No. 15 rated hoop prospect in the nation and the only player among the top forty who has yet to make his choice public.

"I get constant calls and text messages checking up on me to see how I'm doing," was the reply from the 6-foot-8, 228-pounder when asked about a typical day. "Now they're more like as a friend instead of as a coach. I'm talking to coaches and giving interviews all the time, but it's been cool."
