Cats making White a priority for 2008

The NACA National Championship tournament in Dayton, Tenn., brought out the best in prep talent and college recruiters. Kentucky was one of many schools represented at last week's event, and the Cats had their eyes on one of the nation's best juniors.

The Kentucky staff first inquired about Genesis One standout Malcolm White during the winter, but they didn't have much luck scheduling an evaluation. The NACA championship proved to be the right place and time for UK to finally watch White in action.

White, No. 45 in the Class of 2008, is hearing from most SEC schools as well as Cincinnati, Southern Cal, and Florida State. After seeing him up close, Kentucky figures to be a serious player too.
