March 26, 2007 Q&A: MLB Ben Moffitt The most obvious question: How do you replace Stephen Nicholas and Patrick St. Louis in the linebacking corps?

Ben Moffitt: You definitely miss two guys like that. I can't say enough about them. A lot of the guys coming up - like Brouce (Mompremier) and Sam (Miller) and Chris (Robinson) - are all good character guys who've been here. They know the system. It's just their chance to get out there and play. What we're just trying to do now is get out there and work.

Q: Iowa State transfer Tyrone McKenzie would figure to be a factor right away. What have you seen from him so far?

Moffitt: I think he's going to do well. He has a good attitude and he works hard. With those two things alone you can go a long way.

Q: And what about the young backers like Alonzo McQueen, LeBrandon Glover, Sabbath Joseph and others?

Moffitt: They're definitely talented guys, but they still have a long ways to go to learn the defense. That's what spring is. In two-a-days, everything is so fast that there's no way you can pick everything up. Spring is the time where you learn and get more reps. That's going to help those guys a lot.
