Durant brings the Naismith back to Austin

Kevin Durant has been picking up postseason national awards right and left in the last two weeks, taking home the NABC Player of the Year Award, the Adolph Rupp Trophy, the Oscar Robertson Trophy, the AP Player of the Year and the Chevrolet Player of the Year.

That left only the Nasimith Award and the Wooden Award to make it a clean sweep and while the other awards are prestigious, those two are considered college basketball's version of the Heisman.

On Sunday night in Atlanta at the Atlanta Tip-Off club, Durant became the second Texas Longhorn to hear their name called as the Naismith Award winner.

Durant received the Naismith Award after a record-breaking freshman season at Texas.
