Kingwood Classic loaded again

This weekend's Houston Kingwood Classic is loaded again with 15 of the top 25 players in the Rivals.com class of 2008 rankings, so it is a must-see event for high school basketball fans across the country.

The most intriguing matchup will happen on Saturday afternoon in Gym 1 of Westfield H.S., when Greg Monroe and his Louisiana Select squad take on Al-Farouq Aminu and the Georgia Stars. Monroe is the top-rated player in the junior class. Florida is recruiting both prospects.

Aminu is rated the best small forward and No. 3 player overall. Only Monroe and Jrue Holiday - whose Pump N Run team will also be at Kingwood - are rated ahead of Aminu. Rivals.com national basketball recruiting expert Jerry Meyer will be in attendance.

"If there was pay-per-view that would be the best AAU game to watch on pay-per-view," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Justin Young said of the Monroe-Aminu matchup. "It's going to be awesome to watch. At least on paper it should go down in Kingwood lore. It's a must-see game if you're at the Kingwood this weekend."
