Bulldogs quarterbacks thin on experience

Just like in 06, the Bulldogs will enter 07 season with little experience at quarterback. Besides second-year starter Mike Henig, no other scholarship player will have ever taken a snap for the Bulldogs. The season and offensive production may rest squarely on the collarbone, yes that same collarbone that Henig broke twice last season.

After experiencing the same injury twice last year, questions arose about the durability of Mike Henig's rail-thin frame. The questions will continue to haunt Henig until he takes his first lick, and even after that the Bulldog faithful will continue to hold their collective breath every time Henig goes down.

His arm strength, leadership, toughness, and decision-making has not been a question so far, even though his TD to Int ratio could be misleading. Henig was constantly praised by Coach Croom during post practice interviews, and was also considered to be having the best spring of his career.
