Offers starting to roll in for Gateway's Saddler

Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway athlete/running back Cameron Saddler (5-foot-7, 160 pounds, 4.4 seconds) is electric on the field. The Gateway standout had originally planned on deciding early in the summer. Two new offers may have caused Saddler to rethink that decision timetable. Virginia has held a strong position with the Keystone State standout from the start. Are the Cavaliers still one of the teams to beat?

"Michigan, Oregon, Colorado, Maryland, and Akron have offered over the past two weeks. It has been pretty crazy around my school with all of the coaches coming," said Saddler.

The list of colleges that have visited Gateway to inquire about Saddler and his teammate, linebacker Shayne Hale, is more than impressive.

"Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Southern Cal, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Virginia, Kentucky, Akron and Syracuse have all been by. There are more, I just can't think of them right now."
