Knox gets fifth offer

Running back Milton Knox (5-8, 198, 4.42) from Lake Balboa (Calif.) Birmingham has accomplished a lot in his three years on the high school level. Knox is a rare athlete indeed who first made a name for himself has a freshman who helped Birmingham upset powerhouse Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey.

The talented running back was a difference maker all the back then. As a junior Knox once again led Birmingham to the promised land capturing their second L.A. City title in three years.

For his efforts, Knox earned City Player of the Year, first-team all-state, first-team all-area and first-team all-league after rushing for 2,374 yards and 29 touchdowns. He even had 14 two-point PAT's.

On Friday (May 11th) Knox picked the offer he had been hoping for when UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell was on the Birmingham campus and personally offered Knox a scholarship.

"I was expecting UCLA to officially offer," Knox said. "I feel real good about the offer.

"Coach Dorrell sat me down with (linebacker) Donovan Carter and offered us both.
