Green Still Playing Well
There was a bunch of underclassmen standouts at this weekend's Wallace Prather Memorial Classic in Atlanta, but there was a number of 2008 prospects who stood out as well including Montgomery (Ala.) St. Jude's power forward Jamychal Green, who continues to have an impressive spring.
Green, a 6-foot-8 prospect who's rated as the seventh-best power forward and No. 19 player overall in the junior class, lists offers from Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Marquette, Ole Miss and Virginia. Indiana and North Carolina have also entered the mix.
"He's a monster," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Justin Young said. "He had a pack of ice on his foot and it wasn't because somebody stepped on him. It's probably because he plays like a maniac. He's one of those kids, I hate the cliche of leaving it all on the court, but he does. He lays it all on the line and worries about the consequences later."
