Rucker looking to bring home track title

One of the main reasons Coach Mark Dantonio and the staff were so quick to offer Chris Rucker of Detroit Country Day was his speed. Rucker will be looking to repeat as state track champion next weekend. SpartanMag.com look at which prospects have been excelling on the track this spring.

Class of 2007:

  • Chris Rucker of Detroit Country Day, MICHIGAN STATE

    Rucker will be looking to not only win individual championships, but also the relays and the team championship. He will be competing in the 100 and 400-Meters as well as the relays. He is the favorite to win the 100-Meters in Division 3

  • Mark Dell of Farmington Hills Harrison, MICHIGAN STATE

    Dell is making a return to track after a several year hiatus. As a pre-high school students Dell was one of the fastest runners in the nation. He has had a strong season for the Hawks and will be competing in the 200-Meter Championship in Division 2 against some other top football players.

  • Adam Setterbo of Spring Lake, MICHIGAN STATE

    Setterbo recently decided to take a preferred walk-on spot at Michigan State. This spring he has been throwing the shot put for Spring Lake and has qualified with a throw 50-feet.
