Knox checking in with Irish

If Milton Knox doesn't end up at Notre Dame, he'd better sleep with one eye open.

The 5-foot-8, 192-pound running back from Lake Balboa, Calif., has been told in no uncertain terms that the Irish program is the place to be. In fact, if Knox doesn't select the Irish should Notre Dame extend an offer, there have been threats of bodily harm.

When those messages come from quarterback Dayne Crist, who played youth football with Knox and committed to the Irish last month, the talented running back listens.

"He told me he's going to make me go there," Knox said. "I told him I just want to see it first. But he said he's going to make me go there and if not he'll beat me up. Maybe we'll end up there together."
