Cyclones a major player for Baker
May was a productive month for Blountstown (Fla.) athlete Ryan Baker. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect reported a number of new offers coming during the spring evaluation period and now turns his attention towards summer camps. Iowa State is one of the schools that offered in recent months and a trip there is being planned.
"I like where it's at," Baker said of Iowa State. "It's up north and being from Florida, I'm trying to get away from all the heat. I'm going up there and I'm going to visit a few more schools around there. I talk to Coach [Wayne] Bolt a lot. I like the coaches who know what they are talking about and he sounds like a cool dude."
After starting off the process with offers from the likes of Ole Miss and Arkansas, Baker reported that he has added additional offers in the last month from Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Clemson, USF and UCF. He has already decided a few schools he would like to take official visits to.
