Hunter Ovens is ready to enroll

The Major League Baseball draft has come and gone and Virginia Tech commit Hunter Ovens was drafted in the 25th round by the San Diego Padres. Since the draft two weeks ago, word has come out that Ovens will be heading to Blacksburg, but what exactly has transpired in the past couple weeks. "The negotiations are still going on as Hunter is in Colonial Heights, Virginia," Butch Ovens, Hunter's father said. "The Padres know they have until July 2nd when he enrolls at Virginia Tech and then they can't talk to him anymore unless he transfers out of Virginia Tech. It appears they won't offer enough money though.
