Freeman expecting more as sophomore
SAN ANTONIO Josh Freeman knew this was coming. The sophomore quarterback was at the center of a media circus Wednesday morning, as he fielded a variety of questions from area reporters at the Big 12 Media Day at the Wyndham's St. Anthony Hotel. It seemed Freeman touched upon virtually everything, from the Wildcats' opener at Auburn to his relationship with second-year coach Ron Prince.
Q: What are you focusing on right now during the offseason?
Freeman: Offensively, I'm just trying to get everybody together and get everyone to do what coach Prince wants us to do. I'm just trying to get everybody on the same page as we get closer to the beginning of the season.
Q: You have a big measuring-stick game at Auburn. What does that game mean to this team?
Freeman: Auburn is a good team and they have a good stadium and great fans. It'll be fun to go in there and see just what they're made of. That's what we're looking forward to.
Q: Going to Lincoln, what will that be like to play at Memorial Stadium?
Freeman: It'll be a fun time. They have a nice stadium and nice fans. Just got to go in there and play. I'm looking forward to a warm reception.
