Groves leads talented group of AU d-ends

There's been years that Auburn defensive ends coach Terry Price has patched a unit together with barely one or two healthy players at his disposal.

But depth is no longer an issue for Price heading into his ninth season at AU. The Tigers will begin fall drills next week four-deep at both d-end positions.

"We've got a few numbers," said Price. "We'll see how the pieces fit into the puzzle. It's a good starting point and now we have to see who can help us and where everybody fits into the depth chart."

Price plans to use the depth to his advantage.

"Competition breeds a group of players that push themselves and work hard and can't take plays off knowing that they have somebody behind them pushing them," he said. "They could be second or third-team in a heart beat."
