Top Buffs: No. 5 Daniel Sanders

A soft-spoken offensive lineman, Daniel Sanders does not get much praise from fans or press. But the junior-to-be is the Buffaloes' best returning blocker.

After missing the season opener against Montana State last fall due to injury, Sanders started 11 games at right guard. He played all but six snaps the remainder of the season and his 655 total snaps ranked third most on the team.

Over the course of his redshirt freshman and sophomore seasons, Sanders was on the field for 457 pass plays. He allowed just two quarterback sacks. Last season, Sanders only allowed three quarterback pressures which ranked best on the team.
