McCoy on a mission

After finishing his freshman season with just a handful of snaps under his belt, Mike McCoy didn't appear to be anywhere near the top of Alabama's crowded wide receiver depth chart. The Rankin, Mississippi native struggled to make an impression during his first year in Tuscaloosa and looked to have an uphill battle before him when it came to earning playing time.

Seven months, a new head coach and an off-season conditioning program later McCoy has earned a reputation among his teammates as the Crimson Tide's most improved player.

"Mike got a whole lot faster, better with his hands, better at route running and just better overall," said senior wide out DJ Hall. "He worked hard this summer and he's going to be a great player. He's going to break some records."
