Practice report: Keys to success are simple

When the last of the summer school finals ended on Tuesday, so did something else for the North Carolina State football players.

NC State third-year junior cornerback Levin Neal is still getting over the shock of doing something he never thought was possible.

Neal and his teammates handed over his car keys Tuesday night. He went through the painful process of putting a tag on his key and dropping them into a shoebox.

The players hope to get back their car keys Sunday, but if it means more wins this season, they'll give up any of their material possessions.

"We aren't on lockdown, but we are out here to get better," said NCSU defensive end Martrel Brown, one of the three captains for the Wolfpack. "They drop us off at our room, we sleep and then we go back and play football. It is basically football and that is how we are going to get better.
