Night practice crisp

Another day of double sessions done and another day closer to the scrimmage and that is something that is highly anticipated by this UCLA Bruin football team. It will let all the parties involved know where they are and where they have to go. There was a lot of good work in the PM practice. The offense showed signs of being crisp.

Ben Olson was very sharp. He always has had a nice fastball, but he threw some nice touch passes Wednesday Evening. Saturday will certainly be a benchmark for this team. Hopefully all can attend and spread the word.

Karl Dorrell has never been as chipper during camp as he has been during this one. The guy has been showing the personality that helped get him the job.

"Good practice," Dorrell said. "Whenever we have night practice it seems to do something to them. We had some good work with our special teams. We did some red zone work again. Both on seven-on-seven and some team stuff. We did a two-minute scenario where we needed to get a field goal with a minute left and no time outs so we are just working through all those different things.

"I like the tempo how the practice was this evening and these guys are anticipating a great weekend. They want to do a good job on Saturday. That's what they're looking for right now is to try to get to Saturday and ourselves ready to play.

"We'll lighten up a little bit with a couple of the practices for the remaining of this week until Saturday so we can get to our century mark in terms of plays for Saturday, but good work today.
