2007 Fall Football Practice Report #7
The fall practices crept closer to an end and closer still to the season opener against Wisconsin at Madison. CougZone keeps tabs on the practice positioning in Pullman as the magical day rapidly approaches
After a grueling scrimmage in 100 degree heat, the WSU football headed back onto the practice field for a two-a-day.
The morning session was both cooler and calmer. Without pads, the squad ran through various special team drills, which included the risky (see: last season's Arizona game) fake punt.
As the practice was nearing one hour, head coach Bill Doba decided to call it good for the time being. The team then took the field again in full pads later that night.
The night saw many Cougars sitting out due to injury or just for a rest. Among the players who did not suit up were offensive cogs Brandon Gibson and Chris Ivory. The practice was also a stopping point for athletic director Jim Sterk's nightly jog.
