Buffs gearing up for Colorado State

BOULDER, Colo. - The Buffaloes' in-state rivalry against Colorado State has been anything but lopsided in recent years.

In fact, if you add up the final scores of the last five Rocky Mountain Showdowns, CU owns just a four point advantage over the Rams. But until last year, none of the Buffaloes' current players had lost to CSU.

"This will be my fourth year on campus here and we lost to them for the first time last year so that does make this year's game that much more important to us," said junior fullback Maurice Cantrell.

"I always want to beat CSU and this year, after us losing last year it is not an option for us, we have to beat them," added junior outside linebacker Brad Jones. "I look at this game as like the most important game of my life. I have thought about it every day since last season ended."
