Borges: Lester situation not a distraction

Whether or not Auburn tailback Brad Lester will play in Saturday's opener against Kansas State has become the water cooler discussion among Auburn fans this week, but according to AU offensive coordinator Al Borges, it hasn't been a distraction to the team.

It's not even a point of discussion.

"That's not even a factor to us," said Borges. "It's never been mentioned and it's not going to be mentioned."

AU head coach Tommy Tuberville said after Thursday's final practice of the week that the questions surrounding Lester's eligibility have still not been resolved. The junior from Lilburn, Ga., is still dealing with an academic issue that resulted in his suspension for the Cotton Bowl.
