Cale Gundy Q&A: Patrick healthy again
Allen Patrick and Chris Brown return to help the Sooners take on the Miami Hurricane on Saturday. That's good news for Oklahoma's offense and even better news for running backs coach Cale Gundy.
The Sooners cruised past North Texas with little experience at the running back position. But with an aggressive, blitzing defense, the Sooners will need some experience behind Sam Bradford this weekend. Gundy talked about the health of Patrick and the challenge ahead on Thursday with members of the media.
Q: Could you talk about Allen Patrick and Chris Brown being available and what that gives your offense this week?
Cale Gundy: Well, it gives you two experienced players who have played in games and are good football players for us. Both of those guys are considered leaders by the way they play and their effort so it will be nice to have them back Saturday.
Q: How do you feel about the way Allen has looked in practices? Do you feel like he's 100 percent heading into Saturday?
Gundy: He's been practicing well. He's a fast exciting guy and he's a captain on our football team and a captain on our offense and he's ready to play.
