King made plays, but fell short

Georgia commitment Tavarres King went into battle on Friday looking to lead Habersham Central to victory in his finale against Stephens County. He had lost to them three times in a row and they came up just short again this time, but not without King scoring two touchdowns and giving it everything he had.

He battled cramps and he lost his starting quarterback mid way through the first quarter. Get an exclusive look at King inside.

King finished the night with 7 receptions for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns even though he sat out about a quarter and a half due to severe cramps.

He set the tone on the first drive with 3 receptions including a touchdown. The Indians doubled him the entire night and he had to work with a freshman quarterback for over 3 quarters.

We were in Toccoa at The Reservation to see Stephens County defeat Habersham Central for the fourth time in a row, but King gave it all he had in the tough loss.
