Wright: I'm going to do my job
You could say QB Kyle Wright is the "new" Miami starter.
With a 14-7 career record as a starter, he was benched in favor of Kirby Freeman the first two games this season.
But he came on and led two scoring drives in four opportunities against Oklahoma.
And coach Randy Shannon has named him Miami's starter for this weekend's game against Oklahoma.
Wright said it was a bit humbling to start the year on the bench.
"A little bit," he said. "In the offseason I put in a lot of hard work. Sitting down and thinking about it, the only way I could go was keep working hard, pressing, have good practices and be ready on Saturday's when my number got called. That was the only thing I was concentrating on doing.
