The end Is 'Neer

The Terrapins were trying their hardest and it just wasn't working.

No, not in last year's 45-24 Thursday night debacle in Morgantown, a game in which Maryland trailed West Virginia by a 28-0 count in the first quarter.

We're talking Tuesday afternoon, as several Terrapins addressed the media and tried to make Maryland's meeting with the 4th ranked Mountaineers Thursday at 7:45 at Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium seem like just another game.

It wasn't working.

Senior guard Andrew Crummey finally got his hackles up over a question about how the rivalry had completely turned with three straight Terrapin losses.
