Miles encouraged by Flynn's progress

LSU coach Les Miles sounded very upbeat about Matt Flynn's chances of playing in Saturday's game against South Carolina at his post-practice press conference Wednesday night.

"It was encouraging to see (Matt) Flynn out there taking a lion's share of the snaps," Miles said. "He looked to have mobility. He looked good throwing the ball. Matt looked very positive today, considering it is Wednesday."

Flynn injured an ankle against Virginia Tech and did not play last week against Middle Tennessee. Miles stopped short of saying that Flynn will start this week against the Gamecocks.
