Receivers throw block party against ECU

MORGANTOWN-- Although they are too young to remember the infamous
bashes held on Grant Avenue years ago, West Virginia University's wide
receivers succeeded in throwing a rollicking block party in Morgantown
on Saturday afternoon. The only invitees to suffer from side effects
were East Carolina defenders, who on numerous occasions were knocked
woozy by their hosts.

Throughout the Mountaineers' dominating 48-7 victory, the WVU
receiving corps took it upon itself to dole out a steady stream of
punishment on unsuspecting Pirates defensive backs and
linebackers. "Our guys did a great job of perimeter blocking today,"
WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez said. (Dorrell) Jalloh, Tito (Gonzales),
Wes Lyons, Eddie Davis, and Jock Sanders, those guys really did a great job."
