Three-star DB takes OSU unofficial

With a desperate need for added speed in the secondary, the OSU coaching staff is looking at only a handful of prospects that would shore up the depth chart in a way they see fit. One of those prospects that has a Cowboy scholarship offer is Pflugerville High School product Zaviar Gooden who made the trek north to Stillwater over a week ago to watch the Cowboys battle the Red Raiders.

Being recruited to OSU as a defensive back as opposed to his other high school position of running back, Gooden got a chance to interact with several coaches on campus with the most notable being the defensive coordinator.

As far as his recruitment goes, the three-star rated Gooden currently holds written offers from Baylor, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Stanford, Texas Tech, Rice, Tulsa, UTEP, and Iowa State.
