Syracuse looks for second big upset

So last week didn't go as some Orange fans had planned. Maybe some home cooking can turn things around as the Orange welcome 12th ranked West Virginia to the Carrier Dome Saturday.

Like the Orange, the Mountaineers are coming off a stunning loss to the upstart South Florida Bulls and are hoping to get back in major bowl contention with a win over Syracuse.

Matching up with West Virginia is an opportunity Orange players have been looking for.

"Playing against Steve Slaton is a game that I've had marked on my calendar for while," Syracuse running back Curtis Brinkley said a few weeks ago.

Well, the circled date is here, and it's up to the Orange to figure out a way to make it a successful day.
