Daily Report: Ingram Ready To Face UNC

Linebacker Melvin Ingram was one of the top high school players in the State of North Carolina last season at Richmond County High School and played in the Shrine Bowl. He endeared himself to USC fane when he scooped up a Willy Korn fumble and returned it for a touchdown.

This season, he expected to play mostly special teams and a little at linebacker. But Jasper Brinkley's injury has forced him to play more than he anticipated. He's doing well, as evidenced by his season-high five tackles against Kentucky while rotating with Marvin Sapp.

"It still feels a little like there's a missing piece out there, but Jasper taught us so much about playing," Ingram said.
