The Icebreaker

And the fans in the stands thought they got tense when Kansas State went for two and converted.

The gutsy call from Wildcat head coach Ron Prince put KSU up 39-38 with only 1:10 left. That meant that the outcome of the game likely rested on the leg of one man.

For Jason Ricks, he knew it was time to prepare for a potential game-winning field goal kick.

"Whenever that two-point conversion happened," the Oklahoma State kicker said, "I'm sitting there 'Ah man, here we go again.' "

Of course, you'll remember that Ricks has been in situations like this before. As a freshman in 2004, the Austin, Texas, native kicked a 28-yard field goal with 55 seconds left to win at Missouri. The next week, he attempted a 49-yard field goal against Oklahoma in Stillwater, only to miss. The final score? Sooners 38, Cowboys 35.
