Catching up with Tavarres King

Nestled in far northeast Georgia, Mt Airy is home to one the state's top athletes, if not the most electric. Tavarres King was probably the best wide receiver in the state last year, hauling in forty catches for the second straight year, and gaining 1000 yards and fourteen touchdowns.

This year he has already topped the one thousand yard mark, which is incredible given the run first offense that Habersham has utilized. We caught up with this talented wideout at their homecoming game against Clarke Central.

His team won 42-14 and when asked how his team has been playing, King replied, "Our team has been playing great." "We've been pumping on all cylinders, offense, defense and special teams."

"They have two great running backs, and we contained them well, we also came out in the second half with great adjustments and stuck it to them. I'm really proud of the whole team effort."
