ACC title is the focus

Jeff Jagodzinski says it shouldn't be difficult getting his guys to re-focus after the events of Saturday night.

"I don't think that's going to be a problem at all," Jags told his Sunday media call. "Our goal has always been to win the ACC championship game and anything after that would have been extra. I don't think it's going to be hard to focus this team. We're still right in the thick of things."

He's right. The Eagles still lead the Atlantic Division and are still on track to go to the ACC title game. The loss Saturday night should NOT be viewed as being the same as the one game that got away each of the last three seasons - you can NEVER expect a team to go undefeated.

The question now for this team as it heads to Maryland is what the depth chart will look like at linebacker. Both Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Tyronne Pruitt have ankle sprains and, while no details are available, Jags listed both as "questionable" for Saturday. Thing is, we do know Dunbar's is a high ankle sprain and those are always tougher. You saw what happened to the defense when he wrnt out of the lineup Saturday night.

Jagodzinski said his team is entering "the fourth quarter" of the season. "A lot of things happen, you gotta go ahead and finish now," he said. "That's where we are in our season. Being 8-1? There's probably about a 115 teams that (wish) they were 8-1 right now."
