Carroll really giving Dawgs a look

The last time we checked in with Allen Carroll, the big lineman was getting set to begin his senior year and continue his dominance as a blue chip recruit. With the season near its conclusion, Carroll, the 22nd ranked offensive guard in the country, seems content with the results of his final year. "I'm playing at a nice level," he said. "I'm productive on both sides of the ball and I get a pancake every now and again."

Big time D1 programs seem to agree with Carroll's self assessment. He has now received scholarship offers from nine schools, the most recent coming from nearby San Jose State University. Despite such an array of choices, Carroll is taking his time in making a decision. He has yet to make to make any official visits and has not narrowed his choices since the season
began.

But the good news for Husky fans is that the Dawgs are still on his list, and he has been in constant communication with Coach Tim Lappano and the Husky coaching staff.

"I like them," he said. "We have had some nice conversations."

Carroll's ultimate goal is to reach the NFL. In making a final decision, he prefers a school where he would be able to showcase his abilities as soon as he possible, and UW seems willing to provide him such an
