Jennings wants to be 'best player ever' at UA

The accolades continue to mount up and fans seem to bring up his name as a topic of interest daily. Doubters think he's too flashy to be effective in college and that he's way too egotistical for any coach to handle him.

Everyone has their own opinion on the five-star prospect, but the pressure continues to be placed heavily on Brandon Jennings.

The 6-foot-0, 170-pound point guard is the eighth ranked player overall and the third ranked point guard in the class of 2008 by and heads up an Arizona recruiting class that ranks amongst the top in the country.

The starting point guard for Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Virginia) will showcase his skills for the University of Arizona in 2008. The high profile California native has had an up and down recruiting process that included his decommitment from USC.

Opening up his recruitment led him to become a Wildcat and, according to Jennings, it was one of the biggest decisions he's ever had to make.

"It was definitely a big decision for me," explained Jennings. "Besides the fact that it was very early in my junior year and it was an early commitment I felt that they were misleading in some aspects so I felt that that was not the place for me to play basketball."

One of the schools that began recruiting Jennings early in his high school basketball career was Arizona, which was one of the reasons that he decided to take another look at the school from the desert.
