Williams fights through disappointing season

Things haven't gone exactly the way Darien Williams envisioned heading into his senior season at Oklahoma. Offseason foot surgery derailed his plans to head into the 2007 season as the Sooners' starting free safety. Then the play of Nic Harris and Lendy Holmes kept him from regaining his position when things got underway.

Williams is still a big part of the OU football program. His play on special teams has been valuable, but time is running out on his Sooner career. writer-at-large Luke Mildren talked with Williams about his season, his fight to regain playing time and his final two regular season games as a Sooner. What are some of the things the defense is working on to improve their pass coverage against Tech?
Darien Williams:
We are just watching a lot of film. We are just trying to stay consist with what is coming. Knowing all of their formations and groupings will make the difference. How did it feel to get some serious playing time against Baylor?
It felt great. I was starving man; I was hungry for that action. I could not have asked for more. I really just did not want the game to end. I am craving more now.
