UCONN only mentioned at Camp Rod this week

MORGANTOWN-Rich Rodriguez has talked about the BCS this week, but only to tell his 3rd-ranked Mountaineers not to talk about.

With UConn (9-2, 5-1) on deck, it's all about the Big East championship and first things first.

Coach Randy Edsall brings in his nationally ranked Huskies to Milan Puskar Stadium 3:30 p.m. Saturday (ABC, MSN) in the league's championship playoff game.

"I addressed (the BCS) briefly yesterday, but it will be nothing but UConn talk this week. The main reason is, it's all we can control; anything else is down the road. We shouldn't worry about it; the first goal is to be the Big East champ. Nothing else matters," says the coach.

Rod says the only time he has talked with his team about the national championship was at the beginning of a year which has brought the Mountaineers (9-1, 4-1) one spot short of playing in the national championship game in New Orleans in January. He also mentioned the plum after the USF game.
