Visit a success for Raytown DE
Raytown DE Aldon Smith had been to Missouri several times in the past months. This weekend, he enjoyed a trip eastward for his official visit to the Tigers. A lot of the time, he talked with old friends and worked to make new ones as he met several other recruits from the class of 2008.
Smith said that he and his fellow 2008 commits had a good time this weekend getting to know each other better. He added that you could see that the class of 2008 would be a close family.
Smith had been talking consistently with Missouri coach [db]Andy Hill over the recruiting process and had become pretty good friends. He said that they didn't talk football much over the weekend, but had a good time meeting the coaches.
Along with talking with coaches, Smith enjoyed meeting many of the current Tigers, including his host for the weekend. He added that it was a real pleasure for him getting a chance to sit and watch something special with his future teammates.
Smith was happy that he was around this season to be a part of one of Missouri's most successful seasons ever. He said that he was excited for the remaining game and that he would like to watch another Missouri game in person if he could.
Smith said that he knew last weekend was a big weekend, but he said that it may be too hard to not come back to Columbia this weekend. He hoped that his official visit wouldn't be the last time he was in town before signing day.
