Another Oklahoma Small School Star Emerges

With one small school player already holding an offer, and having committed, it's no longer a surprise to hear about Oklahoma small school prep standouts like Kenneth Garrett getting attention. It's even less surprising after hearing that Garrett has grown to a monstrous 6-foot-4, and 278-pounds and logged another banner year for tiny Crooked Oak in Southeast Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Purdue, Miami, Kansas State, Texas Tech, a list of schools almost as large as Garrett's future graduating class but he says that most schools and coaches have told him that the size of his school doesn't matter.

"They told me when I went to Oklahoma's Jr. day, I was talking to coach Jackie Shipp was saying it doesn't matter what size school you come from. That put a spark in my mind, that it doesn't matter what size school you come from, if you can play," Garrett said. "He told me that I can play, so I guess I can."
