NoCal WR getting on the map
The Sacramento area of Northern California always has prospects. Many times players from the Golden State's capital fly a little under the watchful eye of recruitneks. One player who is beginning to emerge is wide receiver Spencer Hagan (6-4, 180, 4.6) from Sacramento (Calif.) Capital Christian.
Hagan earned second-team all-city and first-team all-academic honors as a junior after he hauled in 59 receptions for 928 yards and eight touchdowns.
The talented wide receiver first came to the attention of Rivals.com when he ran a blistering two-cone shuttle in 4.09. That happened to be the fastest time in the country for athletes who stood 6-4.
The thing that separates Hagan from other wide receivers is his blocking ability. He also isn't afraid of hard work in the weight room or putting in the extra time watching film not only to see what he is doing right, but what he needs to improve on. He runs tight precise routes and of course sports an excellent set of hands.
Colleges schools are beginning to take notice too as Hagan has heard from the likes of Cal, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Northwestern, Duke, Georgia and UConn.
