NoCal FB visits Colorado

Fullback Cole Huntley (6-0, 240, 4.8) from Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley just returned from Colorado where he took in the Buffaloes junior day. The two-sport recruit also took in an unofficial visit to UCLA to meet with Bruin rugby coach Scott Stewart.

"I had a great visit and had a chance to see the facilities, tour the campus and meet with several Colorado coaches," Huntley said. "I had a separate meeting with Darian Hagan, the running backs coach.

"Coach Hagan wants me to come back to their summer camp in June and get a chance to see how he coaches the backs," Huntley said. "Based on this trip, Colorado is one of my top five choices. The coaching staff, facilities, academics and location seem to be a good fit for me.

"I met with UCLA's head rugby coach, Scott Stewart in March. Coach Stewart gave me a tour of the campus, visited the facilities and introduced me the UCLA rugby team," Huntley said. "Coach Stewart offered me a spot on UCLA's rugby team and said I was UCLA's top recruit. I now have two rugby offers - one from Cal and the other from UCLA - these are the only two schools that I will go to if I decide to play rugby instead of football.
