Ward a Duck?

The Oregon Ducks have struck far from home for a tight end transfer from the University of Georgia. NaDerris Ward, (6-5, 265, 4.65 ) has told the Ducks that he will be coming to Oregon. "I'm going to enroll in summer school at Oregon. I'll be there getting more credits and getting used to school in Eugene. I'm really looking forward to the challenge."

Ward is coming to the Ducks in an interesting but sad way. NaDerris loved Georgia and was fitting in well, but problems with his family in Oakland, California forced his return to the west coast. Ward played in five games as a freshman for the Bulldogs. "My grandma has cancer and is undergoing treatment. I am very close to her and my mom and my sister so I made the decision to move closer to home. I am so happy she is getting better."
